Suesca
Suesca is a Colombian municipality in Cundinamarca, located in the province of Almeidas, 59 km northeast of Bogotá. The average altitude of the municipality is 2584 meters above sea level, and the climate is cold, with an average temperature of 14°C
The majority of the population of Suesca works in flower cultivation, in companies located in the plain of the municipality and near the Bogotá River, in higher altitude areas dairy farming is predominant, and to a lesser extent agriculture and traditional mining represented by the extraction of coal and clay for semi-artisanal brick manufacturing. The only large-scale industry is a cement factory located near the urban center of the population.
Another source of income is tourism, mostly focused on the rocks of Suesca and extreme sports such as climbing and mountain biking.
