Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta National Natural Park

Declared by Unesco as a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site in 1979, it is considered a unique place in the world due to its isolation from the Andes mountain range and its highest peak (5775 meters above sea level) being only 42 km from the sea. In it are found all the thermal floors that are present in Colombian territory, as well as different biomes that make up the jungle, the mountain forest, and the Andean moors.
